The face of the Virgin touches the face of Christ Child, who clasps His mother’s veil with his left hand and holds himself on his mother’s right shoulder with his right hand. A classical-style band runs across the top of the Virgin’s head and through her curly hair, showing from the veil pushed backwards. Both the haloes are finely decorated.
