The surface of the object has been mostly painted yellow, but a division marks the inclusion of brown pigment. It is possible that this was part of the external wall of a granary model, and this depicts both the yellow wall, and part of the door (in brown). The original context of this item is unclear, but it is possibly an architectural element from a building (i.e. a granary) in a funerary model. This is one of a number of objects that have previously been catalogued under a single entry: 'E.172.1903'. The collection of items all appear to derive from funerary models, and are each elements found within individual scenes, but they are not from the same model, and possibly do not derive from a single site. title: to be checked LICENSING --------- text license status: CC0 image license status: CC-BY-NC-SA OWNERSHIP --------- instutition: The Fitzwilliam Museum department: Antiquities STABLE URL ---------- url: https://data.fitzmuseum.cam.ac.uk/id/object/317511 TECHNIQUES ---------- painted CATEGORIES ------ category: model DATING ------ culture: Eleventh Dynasty culture: 12th Dynasty culture: Middle Kingdom DIMENSIONS ---------- dimension: Height units: cm value: 3.1 dimension: Length units: cm value: 5
