The flat underside is unglazed and has a small almost central ventila-tion hole. The rounded oval mound base is covered by a heap of cut corn, and has a square aperture to take an attachment at the back. The girl is seated on the corn facing to the front but with her legs sloping to the viewer's left. She holds out a bunch of ears of corn in her right hand, and with her left, which is beside her left thigh, supports the top of a stook of corn.
