The roughly square base has rough edges and is concave and unglazed underneath. It has a square aperture to take an attachment in the top of the proper left back corner. The boy stands on both feet with his left leg forward leaning over and supporting with both hands an upturned basket containing four fish. Below it and behind it there are six shells and seaweed. The boy has brown hair, and wears a green jacket with a blue collar, black seams and black buttons, yellow trousers, and black shoes.
