The front is tin-glazed; the reverse is very thinly lead-glazed and appears brownish-orange with streaks of tin-glaze running down from the top of the dish towards the centre and lower edge. Painted in dark blue, green, yellow, orange, and manganese. Shape approximately 61. Circular with sloping rim and wide deep well, standing on a footring. The well is decorated with the Resurrection with a landscape background. Two soldiers are asleep in front of the tomb; two others behind it turn away in terror as Christ rises from the dead. His right foot is on the edge of the tomb and his right arm is raised, the index finger pointing upwards; in his left hand he holds a processional cross with a pennant. The rim is divided by radial blue and yellow lines into eight panels containing alternately a four-petalled flower and pairs of serrated-edged leaves; in one panel the flower petals also have serrated edges.
