object type: jar, beaker type, black top decoration. Nile silt, black-topped ware.
object type: Tall, slender beaker, with slightly flared rim, a flat base and burnished surface. The walls of the vessel were coiled and then burnished after drying, but before firing. Rim decorated black, through introducing smoke into the kiln, this particular style is known as black-top red ware.
