object type: Carved wooden scribal palette with inkwells (red and black), along with a compartment for reed pens the lid of which is loose, and inscribed with a single column of inscriptions. Crack along bottom right side of palette, and left side entirely broken off. Prominent crack at bottom of compartment where the lid has broken off from the rest of the palette. Vertical crack running down back of palette. Single filled dowel hole at bottom of palette, but top shows three holes (two not filled) and a hollow cylindrical chamber, possibly holding another item?
