object type: Carved wooden uraeus serpent, upright with sundisk on head, and a square tenon joint at base. A round hole is visible just above the serpent's head. The surface is exposed plain wood, however there is a general coverage of a white material, but this may not be pigment. Interestingly, what appears to be a drawn pencil line runs up the front (and partially the back) of the serpent, in the entirety of middle of the serpent, onto the sun disk. On the square tenon on the base, a number of marks can be read including "Luxor 20XII 15". There are further marks on the base of the tenon, but it is not clear if these are purposed. There is a strong stylistic similarity between this example and E.GA.2864b.1943 which has led to them being grouped together.
