Dowel holes visible on either side of the torso indicate arms were originally present, and a filled dowel hole at the base suggests the figure was attached to a larger object, such as a boat model. Faint traces of pigments (white, black and deep red/brown) illustrate the figure's kilt, skin and hair. The surface is heavily degraded and multiple deep cracks are apparent. No modern writing is visible. There appears no sign of facial features either. title: statuette LICENSING --------- text license status: CC0 image license status: CC-BY-NC-SA OWNERSHIP --------- instutition: The Fitzwilliam Museum department: Antiquities STABLE URL ---------- url: https://data.fitzmuseum.cam.ac.uk/id/object/63486 TECHNIQUES ---------- painted TECHNIQUES ---------- carved CATEGORIES ------ category: figure DATING ------ culture: 12th Dynasty culture: Middle Kingdom DIMENSIONS ---------- dimension: Height units: cm value: 13.3 dimension: Width units: cm value: 3.2
