The figure is supported on a rectangular plinth with fluted sides, with on the viewer's left, an urn bedecked with a horizontal garland of laurel leaves, supported on a square pedestal with military trophies in relief on each side, and lion's paw feet. Andromache stands on her right leg with her left crossed over in front of it. She holds a wreath in her left hand, and leans on her right elbow on the urn. She has a red and brown veil over her head which falls down over her right shoulder, and wears a long , loosely draped gown with a blue belt, and sandals with black straps title: figure NOTES ----- type: history note value: A.G.
