object type: Cream-coloured earthenware, transrer-printed in dark red on one side with a a lady and gentleman taking tea in a garden, and on the other with a Shepherdess and sheep. On the side of the tea party, the print is signed 'Abbey' and 'Liverpool'.  The lid is decorated with a spray of flowers encircling the knob.
