DESCRIPTIVE DATA

object type: Vase moulded in four sections, being three stacking base parts of diminishing size and a tall, inverted cone lid with central finial, the whole resembling a Chinese pagoda. All parts entirely covered in silver lustre. The base parts are rectangular in plan and each has plain sides and bevelled corners, from which project sockets for the insertion of flowers. The bottom tier stands on four corner legs on a stepped base and has sockets moulded as crowned human masks. On the other two tiers the sockets are fluted. , those on the next two tiers are fluted. The cover is in the form of an inverted cone with a finial. The underside is flat, within a deep foot-ring formed by the steps.
