object type: Red dry-bodied stoneware, with glazed interior, painted on the outside in turquoise, green, yellow, and shades of pink enamel. The jug has a bulbous ovoid body with a short neck  with a pinched spout, and a curved strap handle. Each side is decorated with a spray of Chinese style flowers.
