object type: Buff earthenware tin-glazed pale turquoise and painted in blue and manganese-purple. The cup had a bulbous lower part which slopes inwards towards the mouth, and an applied loop handle which is curved on the outisde. The sides are decorated with an Oriental landscape with trees, rocks, buildings and three Chinese figures. Below the rim there are two narrow manangese bands. On the side opposite to the handle is the date '1677' and initials 'IC'.
