Circular with everted rim, and curved sides, standing on a footring. Willaim III, wearing a crown and coronation robes, and holding an orb and centre stands on the left of Mary II, who is crowned, and holds a fan. The letters W M are painted above and to the left of their heads and R to the right of Mary's head. On each side there are sponged trees and in the foreground, three broad strokes and three areas of sponging.
