The jug is cylindrical with a projecting lip and applied handle which is concave inside and outside, and has a long V-shaped terminal. The outside is decorated wth a fox bounding to the left flanked by the words of an inscription:‘Good Ale Will' and 'Catch him’. Round the lower part there is a wide green band flanked by two narrow blue bands and another blue band.
