Earthenware, tin-glazed overall. The glaze has crazed, especially on the reverse. Painted in blue, yellow, and orange. Shape 78 with a depression running round the junction of the dish and foot, and a ridge round the edge of the latter. Circular with shallow upturned sides, standing on a low foot with a ridged edge. A groove runs round the junction of the foot and dish. On the left are three men in contemporary costume, one of whom has just wounded an adversary standing in the centre with four companions, the first of whom has `MORE' written across his breastplate. The wounded man is shown lying dead in the foreground on the tiled floor. On the back, petals filled with alternately blue and orange transverse stripes radiate from the foot.
