A:
Shape: fragment of a bowl with convex walls and inverted rim, sitting on a low foot ring
Interior: yellow glaze applied over a cream slip, the rim enhanced with brown pigment under the glaze, and a triple incised line on the upper body. On the base an interweaving six-pointed star pattern is incised over a ground densely spiralling scribbled lines and vegetal decoration, the same background is repeated in a band enclosing the star.
Exterior: light brown surface colour produced by yellow glaze applied direct to the body, undecorated
B:
Shape: base and part of lower body of carinated cup standing on a small flaring foot ring, with straight sides, collared above the carination
Interior: Very pale yellow glaze applied over a cream slip; a large finely-incised six-pointed rosette infilled with brown on the base is encircled by two double lines on the lower body, above which the bottom of a lobed decoration enhanced with light brown glaze is partly visible
Exterior: pale yellow glaze over a cream slip running over the foot ring, decorated above the carination with parallel vertical dark brown lines painted under the glaze
C:
Shape: fragment of rim and upper body of a thin-walled vessel with straight sides flaring outwards slightly
Interior: Yellow glaze over a cream slip, concentric lines below the rim and at the bottom of the fragment enclose an incised calligraphic band, the letters are defined with a thicker layer of slip creating a relief effect and paler tone under the glaze
Exterior: yellow glaze over a cream slip, within concentric lines under the rim an incised band of s-shaped motifs is painted in alternating light and dark brown pigments and thicker layers of slip creating a paler tone
D:
Shape: small irregular fragment, with thin rounded walls
Interior: yellow glaze over a cream slip, under an incised line below the rim is a group of incised calligraphy, the letters defined with a thicker layer of slip creating a relief effect and paler tone under the glaze
Exterior: brown surface colour produced by a yellow glaze applied direct to the body, undecorated
