The tankard is cylindrical with a contraction at the top to accommodate a metal mount. The large loop handle has two holes at the top for the attachment of a hinged cover. The front is decorated with a shield-shaped outline containing a large stylized flower, and flanked by arrangements of interlacing tendrils and daisy-like flowers reserved in a blue ground, Above and below the decoration there is a narrow wavy horizontal border and a blue band.
