object type: Earthenware, tin-glazed pale cream overall; the reverse has many small pin holes and three stilt marks. Painted in blue, yellowish-green, greyish-green, and manganese-brown.
Shape 65. Circular with gently sloping rim and wide shallow well.
Two men stand with their backs to the viewer beside the ruins of a massive arcade with a mountainous landscape behind it. The rim is brown. On the back, painted in brown are five simplified plants and a mark comprising monogram AF beneath two palm branches and a Maltese cross below a coronet.
