The pot has a globular body with a straight-sided tapering spout, tilting upwards slightly, and a loop handle. The cover has a shallow domed top and a depressed ball knob with a ventilation hole in the centre.The body and cover are decorated with flowers and foliage of vaguely Chinese character. The spout has horizontal strokes on its sides and two joined scrolls on the top.
