The goat is supported on a rectangular base with sloping sides which is hollow underneath and is painted dark green. The goat is standing in profile to the viewer with its head turned slightly to its left. Its horns (probably replacements) are white, and the rest of it is streaked with shades of manganese-purple except for the hooves which are solid colour. It has a ventilation hole under its tail.
