The figure stands on a roughly square low mound base, in front of a tree stump which serves as a support. The base is hollow underneath and unglazed. The boy stands with his right foot a little in front of his left. He leans forward and turns his head towards his left, while crossing his arms in front of himself, and tucking his hands inside is shirt and jacket to keep warm . He wears a broad-brimmed dark brown hat over a yellow scarf, a green-tinted shirt, a green jacket, brown breeches, and dark brown shoes.
