object type: Buff stoneware, thrown and turned. Conical with a slightly uneven rim, a narrow foot,and recessed base. Covered with a thick, matt, deep turquoise glaze which has bubbled and pitted all over, but particularly round the foot, where the glaze is thicker.  The lowest part of the foot is unglazed.
