object type: Red dry-bodied stoneware, thrown, turned and decorated with mould-applied sprigs. The caddy is of ginger-jar shape with a cylindrical flat-topped cover. The sides of the jar are decorated with scattered sprigs of leaves, floral sprays, fleur-de-lys and a heron with a fish in its beak. The cover has three leaves on the sides and he heron motif in the middle of the top.
