object type: red earthenware, probably wheel thrown, with white glaze, which has a pinkish tinge owing to underlying clay colour, painted in brown lustre.
Shape: fragment of a flat base with slight concavity, part of a dish
Interior: in the centre a rabbit or hare painted in lustre, surrounded by concentric lustred lines, barely visible on the lower body just below the break.
Exterior: a lustre spiral which appears to emanate from the centre of the base. Surface is pitted due to impurities in the clay or glaze. A hole has been drilled through the body.
