On the body an incised frieze, outlined in green and decorated by groups of green dots, comprises medallions containing stylised birds and separated by arcading. Spandrels and birds are filled with incised spirals. Covered with a colourless glaze; three scar marks on the base indicate use of a tripod stacking device in the kiln.
