object type: White stoneware, press-moulded and salt-glazed. The front of the flower holder is in the form of a woman's face with a bow over her forehead, and a scroll on each side of her cheeks, surrounded by acanthus foliage, pierced by three holes at the top. Below her chin there are three leaves terminating in a point. The woman's eyes are painted with dark brown slip. The flat back is lower at the top than the front, and has a wavy edge. Below this there are two circular suspension holes.
