IDENTIFIERS ----------- id: 75536 accession number: C.564-1928 DATE AUDIT ---------- created: Saturday 6 August 2011 updated: Thursday 20 January 2022 DESCRIPTIVE DATA ---------------- object type: Greyish-white stoneware, slab built, with integrally moulded reliefs, sponged or painted in cobalt-blue, and salt-glazed. The slabs are roughly made and the blue has been applied unevenly in a crude manner. The caddy is rectangular, and each side is decorated with a central white sun face, surrounded by blue v-shaped rays , and two blue downward pointing thin legs that resemble compass points. The blue rays are surrounded by three white stylised trees or flowers. Above is a blue winged cherub's head. In the corner of each panel is a blue shell.
