The body of the pot is in the form of a rectangular three-storied house with canted corners, and a sloping roof, with a rectangular opening at the top (the cover is missing). On one side there is a front door sheltering a man and woman, with a rampant lion and a fleur-de-lys in an archway above it, and a winged cherub's head above that. On either side of it there are three storeys of windows between columns. On the roof above is the Royal Arms. On the other side there is a standing man and a cartouche above the doorway, and a different Dutch coat-of-arms on the roof. The spout is in the form of an animal's neck and head with open mouth.
