object type: White stoneware, slip cast with integral relief decoration, and salt-glazed. The teapot has an inverted pear-shaped body of hexagonal section, a curved octagonal spout, and loop handle. The hexagonal cover is slightly domed and has a restored recumbent dog or fox (?) knob. The panels on the sides are decorated with an imperial eagle, the fable of the Fox and the Crane, Cupid riding on a lion, a fox stealing a goose, Danaë amongst clouds above a unicorn, a huntsman with hounds, and a shield above a running stag.
