The pot has a four-lobed pear-shaped body, with a curved spout and loop handle with a kick at the lower end. The domed four-lobed cover has a conical knob. In the middle lobe on each side of the pot there are overlapping shells of decreasing size, one of which has a reclining man at the top. These are flanked by sprays of pink flowers, oak foliage with yellow acorns, and at the top by two small shells, above which is a band of grey Greek key motifs.
