IDENTIFIERS ----------- id: 75629 accession number: C.607 & A-1928 DATE AUDIT ---------- created: Saturday 6 August 2011 updated: Monday 14 February 2022 DESCRIPTIVE DATA ---------------- object type: White stoneware, moulded, salt-glazed, and painted in blue, green, yellow, dull red, and dark puce enamels. The hexagonal pot has bowed side and a curved spout moulded in relief with overlapping veined leaves. The loop handle is reeded and has a kick at its lower end. The wall behind the spout is pierced by six holes to emit the tea. The hexagonal, slightly convex cover is moulded to match. It has a central ventilation hole (blocked by glaze), and a handle formed by a twisted stem. The pot is decorated with a green ground except for the base. On each side there is a roughly oval reserve with a dark puce border, enclosing on one side a vase of flowers, and on the other, a basket of flowers in Oriental style.
