IDENTIFIERS ----------- id: 75648 accession number: C.615 & A-1928 DATE AUDIT ---------- created: Saturday 6 August 2011 updated: Tuesday 22 February 2022 DESCRIPTIVE DATA ---------------- object type: White stoneware, the body thrown, the spout, handle and knob press-moulded, with applied moulded relief decoration on the body and cover, coated with a dip containing cobalt, and salt-glazed. There are four holes pierced in the body behind the spout. Remnants of oil gilding remains on the reliefs and on one side; also over a fault on the lower part of the handle. The pot has a globular body standing on a circular foot, a crabstock handle and spout, and an almost flat cover with a bird-shaped knob. Each side of the pot is decorated with a vertical vine spray, and there is a leaf and two small bunches of grapes on the top of the cover.
