object type: Cream-coloured earthenware, moulded in two parts, and decorated with metallic oxides under clear lead-glaze. Circular, the body having deep curved sides, standing on a footring, and the domed cover having a handle in the form of a dolphin.  The exterior of the bowl and cover have borders of wickerwork interrupted by oval panels enclosed by scrolls.
