The underside is closed and has a ventilation hole in the centre. Winter is represented by a woman standing on a circular green mound supported on a white square base. She faces to the front with her hands concealed in a yellow muff at waist level. She wears a long yellow dress and an ermine mantle with yellow edges which covers her head and upper body at the front, and extends down to the ground at the back.
