The figure is supported on a square straight-sided base canted inwards on the underside, and having a closed central area with a ventilation hole. It is decorated on the outside with a continuous brown band. The boy stands on a rounded area of blue ice with grooved sides, and a brown and green tree stump at the back. He looks down and turns his head towards his left as he steps forward on his right foot, clasping his crossed arms and hands together in front of his chest. He has pale brown hair, partly covered by a high-crowned black hat with a wide brim which is turned up at the front.
