object type: buff eathenware, thrown, tin-glazed, and painted in blue and manganese-purple. The oviform vase has a spreading foot and a short cylindrical neck. It is painted with a Chinese figure seated in a landscape in the style of late Ming porcelain, with two horizontal bands and a border of lapets below.
