object type: Buff earthenware, moulded, tin-glazed, and painted in blue, green, and manganese-purple. The glaze is rather speckled and appears pinkish on the back. The dish is octagonal in plan, with sloping, externally fluted sides and a shaped rim. The base is slightly recessed. The inside is decorated with two sprays bearing a rose and leaves, and two bearing a bud and leaves. In the spaces between them are four detached leaves.
