object type: Wood, the interior edges lined with paper with a black, yellow and pink lozenge pattern, the rest of the interior lined with coarsely-woven olive-green woollen fabric; the exterior, apart from the base, covered with brown leather stamped with a wavy-lined trellis pattern. Cylindrical with a curved projection on one side to accommodate the handle of the jug. There are two hinges at the top and bottom of the straight side, and brass (?) rings and hooks situated near the top and about a third of the way up the other side.
