Buff earthenware, moulded in relief on the front with a seated figure of a Saint or of Christ with a halo, surrounded by a mandorla. Tin-glazed greyish-beige overall, the back extremely speckled with grey. Painted in dark pink, yellow, and brown. Approximately oval with a wavy edge, broken horizontally across the bottom. Bosanquet in Orvieto in 1904 accompanied by a label stating: ‘Mostly bought at Orvieto; some pieces, marked P on the back, from Perugia.
