Cylindrical, the upper part of the sides moulded with wavy flutes, the base, recessed. The domed cover is moulded with radiating flutes, and has an artichoke finial and a silver mount with a scalloped interior edge. There is a small suspension hole in the base, and another in the interior edge of the cover. The jar is decorated with three large floral bouquets, and detached sprigs and leaves, and with a single blue and yellow butterfly.
