A drawing so described and dated 19 February 1753 is in the factory's archives (MNS, Archives de Sèvres R 1, dossier 2, liasse 2, f. 1.). Two sets decorated in gold were sold for 30 livres each on 20 November 1752 (Vy1 fol. 1), another set on 24 May 1753 at the same price, and another, presumably less perfect on 5 June 1753 for 24 livres. (Vy1, fol. 3). Two sets decorated in gold with birds costing 48 livres each were delivered to Lazare Duvaux on 17 October 1752 (Vy1 fol. 5) and two more decorated in gold for 30 livres on 31 December 1753 (Vy 1, fol. 26v).
The purpose of these small covered cups is not known. As they have a cover they were perhaps used for some kind of hot potion to be consumed while dressing.referenceterm-106496adlib-term-106496bd563695-7339-3178-a8c4-25189907099318th Century, Mid#referenceterm-15538adlib-term-15538e4001da7-ed48-3271-a6fb-c7f54095a1adLouis XVreferenceterm-113744adlib-term-113744da105475-9705-3ee7-94ad-24892e6217d4literalFranceFrancecountryliteralVal-de-MarneVal-de-MarneregionVincennespresumed lead-glazereferenceterm-107733adlib-term-10773300160189-e3ce-3796-a88b-5aa8d6c808c4lead-glazereferenceterm-37637adlib-term-3763789b09133-dc0a-3a88-bd40-5aef1ad30ecbsoft-paste porcelainreferencemedia-53516adlib-media-535164788f224-8433-3805-800f-b229c6982997jpegaa/aa23/MAR_C_37_20_26_20A_20_26_20B_1912_20_281_29.jpg1heightpixels507widthpixels76016162520633071imagejpegaa/aa23/mid_MAR_C_37_20_26_20A_20_26_20B_1912_20_281_29.jpg1heightpixels334widthpixels50016162520633071imagejpegaa/aa23/MAR_C_37_20_26_20A_20_26_20B_1912_20_281_29.jpg1heightpixels507widthpixels76016162520633071imagejpegaa/aa23/preview_MAR_C_37_20_26_20A_20_26_20B_1912_20_281_29.jpg1heightpixels167widthpixels25016162520633071image0media
