object type: Cast copper-alloy socketed axe-head. Large numbers of weapons and tools of this period have been found in both tombs and shrines in Luristan. Some seem more functional than others: the cutting edge of this one is set at an angle to the handle that would make it difficult / impossible to use as a tool or weapon. It may, rarther, have had a ceremonial function, as an object that could be offered to a god in a sanctuary or placed in a  grave to mark the status of the dead person.
