Hard-paste porcelain painted in green, yellow, and brown enamels and gilded. Circular with twelve shallow serrated arcs on the outer edge, slightly sloping rim pierced by a shaped row of sloping rectangular and triangular holes, and a shallow, curved well, standing on a footring. The well is decorated with a buttercup plant whose roots extend over the side of the well onto the rim . The edges of the piercing are outlined in gilding, and have three circles enclosing a dot level with the indentations between the arcs on the edge. The two above the plant are flanked by leaves, and one on each sides by a buttercup and a bud. Outside the piercing there is a row of raised gold dots, and round the outer edge, a series of small panels containing gold stylized plants.
