The following nine items and papers represent part of the monarch’s gift to a pensioner at the Royal Maundy ceremony at St Nicholas Cathedral, Newcastle upon Tyne, 12 April 1990. They were acquired by Prof. Buttrey from the widow of the recipient, Mr John Hall of 34 Elm Grove, Fawdon, Newcastle-upon-Tyne:

One of collection of 335 coins, tokens and paper notes formed by the late Prof. F. Martin Post (d.2005) as a teaching collection when he was Professor of Business at Orange Coast College in Orange County, CA. His son, Mr Ritchie Post, has also donated to the Fitzwilliam $150,000 to establish a Visiting Fellowship in memory of his father and a Book-Purchasing Fund in memory of his mother, Margaret R. Post.
