Scope note

Use for the political theory or belief that the focus of political activities should be the universal human condition rather than the interests of a particular nation. For the similar philosophical approach not limited to the context of politics but discussed or applied in a broader social, cultural, scientific, ecological, or humanistic context, use "globalism."
