Scope note

Study and explanation of the spatial, organizational, and behavioral patterns of people across the natural and built landscapes; includes the methods and theories of behavioral geography, cognitive geography, economic geography, marketing and decision theory, and locational analysis. For the sociological study of individuals and their near environment, use "human ecology."
