Use for the comparative historical study of the nature and structure of the world's religions and their diverse manifestations over time in different societies and cultures. For the comparative study of the characteristics of religious systems in different societies that aims to develop a universal evolutionary continuum of religions and stresses a scientific methodology, use "comparative religion."
