Reaction injection molding

Scope note

Plastics process in which the fast-reacting liquid ingredients of a thermosetting plastic are separately injected into a closed mold in such a way as to achieve intimate mixing. The ensuing reaction causes the mixture to harden rapidly. DIETZ
